Coauthored BoostedSOSA, a dual-FPGA HPC scheduler using ML predictions of job runtime. The team's paper reports up to 63.85% lower prediction error than user estimates and an average 17× speedup over an AVX-optimized software baseline. Currently implementing two zero-copy, lock-free host–FPGA ring buffers to replace flag polling. The integration is still in progress. Paper: BoostedSOSA: Accelerated Inferencing for Low Variance Stochastic Online Scheduling. Adam H. Ross, Riccardo Revalor, Aryan Singh, Ayush Jain, and Debjit Pal. arXiv preprint, August 2026. https://arxiv.org/html/2608.25346v1 ### Software Engineering Intern — University of Illinois Chicago May–August 2025. Converted batch-oriented FPGA I/O into a free-running streaming pipeline. Built nonblocking Vitis HLS Reader/Writer kernels and multithreaded C++/XRT host I/O. Verified the systolic datapath, virtual FIFO, and cost calculator with roughly 1,100 lines of Monte Carlo-driven Vitis HLS tests on Alveo U55C. ## Selected work and skills - Linux homelab and production infrastructure: public websites and projects serving 30K+ monthly unique visitors and 1M+ requests per month on a three-node HA K3s/Proxmox cluster. Ansible, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, OPNsense, and Cloudflare mTLS. - CUDA GPT-2 inference engine: GPU kernel development and profiling on a four-person team. - C systems projects: memory allocator, epoll network server, POSIX shell, parallel make, and filesystem work. - Full stack development: TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, React, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and SQLite. Freeway LLM gateway and EnvSync secret sharing. - Languages and tools: C, C++, Python, Rust, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Bash, Linux/UNIX, POSIX, CUDA, Vitis HLS, XRT, Nsight, GDB, and Git. ## Recognition - First of 400 students, CS 341 Malloc Performance Contest, 2025 - Fourth place, Advanced Track, UIUC CTF, 2026 - Third place, UIUC CTF, 2025 - Fifth of 50 schools, UIUC State Science Olympiad Robot Tour, 2024 ## Navigation The portfolio's sections include work, experience, skills, recognition, about, résumé, and contact.
